Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Where can I find the lab results?
A: H2O Australia uses a company called Test Needs to independently verify the efficacy of the filtration. We do not publish those results, in the same way pharmaceuticals, skin care, beauty products do not publish those results either. We understand, and respect, that this may be a barrier to some customers purchasing our products.
We maintain the high-quality and effectiveness of our filtration technology, which removes particles down to approximately 0.0001 to 0.0002 microns.
Q: What is our filtration technology and what contaminants does it remove?
A: NanoFlow technology is a cutting-edge filtration system that goes beyond traditional reverse osmosis (RO) systems by using multiple layers, including advanced RO membranes, to remove a wider range of contaminants.
Unlike standard RO systems, which may use artificial anti-scaling agents, NanoFlow introduces no artificial additives, ensuring safer water. It also maintains optimal flow rates while efficiently reducing total dissolved solids (TDS), offering superior filtration performance and durability.
It effectively removes over 99.9% contaminants such as: microplastics (1 µm - 5000 µm), bacteria & viruses (0.02 µm - 0.4 µm), Heavy Metals (Lead, Mercury) (0.0002 µm - 0.0003 µm) and Harmful Chemicals (PFAS, Chlorine, Fluoride) (0.0001 µm - 0.0003 µm).
This system ensures your water is free from harmful substances and safe for daily use.
Q: Where are your products manufactured?
A: Our products are designed and shipped from Australia. They are manufactured and assembled at our trusted supplier in China.
Our expert team regular visits the manufacturer when deciding new products that we wish to bring to market. All products are tested here in Australia prior to market release.
Q: Do your systems waste water?
A: All reverse osmosis (RO) machines produce a by-product suspense liquid. This liquid effectively carries some contaminants out of the machine. This suspense liquid often gets called "waste water". The pure water is called "recovered" water, and this defines the "recovery rate".
The recovery rate of our machines typically range from about 65% to 83% depending on the product.
Modern reverse osmosis systems are much more efficient, and some even recycle water to reduce waste. The small amount of waste by-product can also be re-used for other purposes, such as watering plants or flushing toilets.
Additionally, by using an RO system, you reduce the need for bottled water, saving even more plastic and helping the environment.
Q: How long does delivery take?
A: We do same-day dispatch, if ordered before 2pm. In Australia, order will arrive usually within 5 business days.
If you have not received your order within this period, you can contact the courier which is provided to your email.
Note: once the item leaves the warehouse, H2O Australia has no control over the shipping time.
Q: How often do I need to change my filters?
A: It depends on the system, and each product specification page will tell you that.
Q: When will I know I need to replace my filters?
A: All our machines have an indication light which will inform you when the machine's filters need replacing. Please consult your user guide.
Q: Which machine has cold water?
A: Each product is different. Make sure you check the specifications of each machine before purchasing.
Q: Are there plastic components?
A: All our systems involve some plastic components. They use hospital grade and BPA free plastic for the back tank storage (for tanked machines). Any water dispensed will be purified and will be microplastic-free.
Q: Why is my water temperature not getting cold (Oasis + Icecade)
A: You may have accidentally deactivated the cool tank inside the machine. Please consult the user manual for more information.
