Where is the best tap water in Australia?

The result might surprise you!
Here at H2O Australia we hear time and time again that “Australian tap water is some of the best in the world!”, but this may not altogether be as true as people think.
For the past 12 months, H2O Australia has been conducting a wide-scale public test of tap water across this great country. We send water testing pens to people far and wide, and they uploaded their results.
The pen tested for 3 main indicators:
- Chemical oxygen demand
- Total organic carbon
- Total dissolved solids
The result: a score out of 100, giving people a chance to see just how good their tap water was.
What did we find?
The results were intriguing! Congratulations to Tasmania which came out with the cleanest tap water in Australia!
